Have you thought of yourself being addicted to material possessions? Do you struggle with an addiction to buying and shopping? Is this insistent need for the latest trend covering up a deeper need? As a society, we are challenged with keeping up with the new trend or new technology or the latest fashion. Material items often cover up an internal need of something deeper that is empty such as seeking approval or a self-esteem need. It is important to reflect on your life to understand if you have a need for materialism. In this GET YOUR MIND ON, I discuss how we have become addicted to materialism and how to evaluate your life to see if you are filling your life with material possessions vs. dealing with the true issue.
Do you feel like you’re making circles in your mind? Have you been caught up in redundant thoughts? How can your productivity decline because of this repetitive action? Sometimes we can get into an anxiety and worry based loop in our mind that results in a loss of productivity. This process can seem overwhelming and may leave us stuck in an infinite loop. In this GET YOUR MIND ON, I challenge you to review your life and remove thought addiction.
